A warm autumn afternoon and the grand Mansion in Hartwood Acres Park provided a majestic venue for a variety of outdoor engagement portrait photography. Alaina and Josh chose the Mansion because of its distinguished design at every angle. Also, the surrounding plant and flowerbeds offer splendid colors and contrast year round. Golden sunshine and partial shade yielded soft lighting, attractive skin tones, and no eye strain. The engagement portrait gallery that resulted is nothing short of spectacular!

Because Alaina’s style is both classic and effortless, she selected a black and ivory mini dress with flare and contrasting stripes of color. A sapphire and diamond engagement ring, timeless pearl earrings, and a single leaf pendant accentuated her already elegant appearance and added additional fall flavors to the couple’s captivating imagery.

Josh’s no tuck collar shirt, complimenting white undershirt, and dark denim were natural everyday wardrobe pieces that reinforced confidence and comfort throughout the couple’s engagement portrait session.

Alaina and Josh utilized the onsite benches for romantic and fun posing, while posing both traditionally and dramatically within the Mansion’s main entrance area way.

Simple and complicated lifts and leg kicks were done flawlessly in both the front and side areas of the Mansion. The couple’s dipped poses were picture perfect and most relaxed.

Alaina and Josh opted for one outfit change during their engagement portrait session. Josh dropped his no tuck shirt for a black zip sweater and Alaina changed into a red plaid flannel shirt with fitted black zip vest, dark denim, and knee high black leather boots. The couple playfully surprised one another by throwing handfuls of leaves and later cuddled atop a warm flannel blanket.
