Bride, Dr. Anna Zheng and her groom, Dr. Liam Burke selected a destination wedding theme for their most outstanding wedding celebration. The couple wed just off campus from the University of Pittsburgh at the extraordinary St. George Antiochian Cathedral.

Anna captivated in a bright white, organza, trumpet gown, chapel train, and two-tier, finger tip veil with matching platform, spike, peep toe heels. She accessorized with a delicate set of diamond earrings and fresh sunflower, hydrangea, and blue bloom bouquet.

Liam wowed with a navy fitted suit, navy leather shoes, rich gold bow tie, matching handkerchief, and coordinating fresh, mini sunflower boutonnière.

The groom’s father served as one of the celebrants in the wedding and the vow exchange included crowns of gold adorned by red, white, and blue jewels.

The newlyweds incorporated the stunning cathedral interior for couple’s and family portraits before driving across town to the Sheraton at Station Square area.

National Historic Landmark, the majestic Smithfield Street Bridge, provided an impressive backdrop, post-wedding ceremony, and was only a brisk minute walk from Anna and Liam’s reception venue.

The impressive yellow and blue bridge architecture and city landscape faded softly behind the couple during their post-ceremony, wedding portrait session.

Following portraits at the bridge, Anna and Liam rode the Monongahela Incline 2.5 minutes to Pittsburgh’s scenic Mt. Washington area.

Their families and bridal party joined them for portraits overlooking the couple’s reception venue and all of the city of Pittsburgh.

Anna and Liam’s reception featured family and guests who had travelled from all over to participate in their big day and the couple incorporated flags of the world during the grand entrance and throughout their exciting wedding dinner and Fountain Room venue space.

Their cake was accented with fresh sunflowers and delicious Sarris pretzel rods, adorned with black and gold ribbon accent, were given as custom Pittsburgh wedding favors.

_
The bride changed after dinner into a short, flare, open back, red dress for dancing and the couple entertained guests having an incredibly fantastic once-in-a-lifetime wedding time, abundant with joy and laughter, not to mention mini tambourines!
